As Founder and Principal of Believing Capital, Hernan van Waveren believes that capital is the instrument for change.

With this purpose in mind, he leads Believing Capital as an independent family office consortium - a new way for leaders to collaborate on clear investment opportunities and mandates.   

With more than 15 years of experience having worked for JP Morgan, Accenture, and SAH Group Investments, Hernan has built a reputation of client confidence, increased financial acumen, and family member collaboration. As a hallmark to his long-term track record and performance, Hernan leverages his market-tested skills in Investment Banking, M&A and Global Trading worlds.

Hernan was born and raised in Argentina and holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Economics, Major in Finance from Saint Andrews University.

Benjamin Gavrilov

Prior to joining Believing Capital, Benjamin held internships with Ernst & Young and Charles Rivers Laboratories engaging in risk management and financial statement analysis.  Benjamin is in his penultimate year at Bentley University studying Corporate Finance and Accounting. Proficient in Russian and Spanish, Benjamin leverages his trilingual skills to communicate with international professionals and establish a global presence.

Prashant Tulsiani

Investment Analyst

Prashant carries a unique background of being born in Chile, educated in Argentina and Peru with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, a Masters Degree in Hospitality and a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Miami.  Prashant has five years of work experience in hospitality, tourism, office rental, and private equity services.

Ben and Prashant are key team members with a proven ability to identify and understand client’s financial needs, create solutions and deliver value.  Experienced in building complex financial models to perform business and industry forecasting, develop growth projections and valuations.  They support drafting pitch books, offering memoranda, client presentations and other initiatives focused on building mutually beneficial business relationships at all levels.
